The EVMP® credential is awarded based on experience, education, completion of a rigorous 5 Day (40 hours) EVMP® credential certification preparation program, completion of several case studies; completion of several exercises; agreeing to EVMI®’s ethical qualifications and standards, and successfully passing a 4 hour 4 questions EVMP® credential certification examination.

EVMP® Certification Part B Case Study requires that each group of 25 participants complete and present their case study via taped Video and complete 5 questions related to their given case study.

Requirements

The 5-Step EVMP® Credential Certification Process:

The prospective EVMP® applicant shall typically have a Bachelor’s Degree and FOUR or more years of work related experience preferably in program & project management; management, financial analysis, accounting, business management, business, analysis, information technology, engineering (all disciplines), contracts, procurement, acquisitions, or Earned Value Management (EVM) or 4 years of work experience without a college degree.

**Skills such as use of excel spreadsheets and project management software such as Microsoft Project Professional are strongly encouraged

STEP 1:

Step 2: Submit EVMP® Credential Certification Application and Registration Fees:

Submit your completed application form for the EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® credential certification exam prep course, along with resume, 2 passport sized pictures & completed EVMI Affidavit of Identity form, payment of fee of $3,999 per participant; and upon approval, register to take our 5 Day EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® credential certification exam prep course.

STEP 3:

Step 3: Attend Our 5 Day EVMP® Exam Prep Course Offered at Public or at Client Sites Upon Approval

STEP 4:

On Day 5 of the EVMP® certification program, a 4 hour exam is given. Participants must pass the 4 hour EVMP® credential certification examination for PART A with a score of 80% or more; and pass and complete a Project Case Study for PART B with a score of 80% or more

Succesful completion of PARTs A and B are the requirements to becoming EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® certified.

EVMP® CREDENTIAL CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 25 PARTICIPANTS REQUIRED PER EACH GROUP

PART A: THEORY (36 HOURS)

PART B: CASE STUDY (24 HOURS) – REQUIRES 25 PARTICIPANTS PER EACH GROUP

EVMP® Certification Part B Case Study requires that each group of 25 participants complete and present their case study via taped Video and complete 5 questions related to their given case study.

**PLEASE NOTE: On their case study, each group of 25 Participants will answer questions related to accountability, oversight, transparency; leadership, quality management, risk management, control account management, change management, time management, problem solving, crisis management, contract management and EIA 748-D EVMS industry standard compliance.

**PLEASE NOTE: To become EVMP® certified you must score an 80% passing grade on your EVMP® credential certification examination given for PART A; and score an 80% and above on the PART B case study to attain EVMI®’s EVMP® credential certification

PART B – CASE STUDY (Testing of Team Work, Strategy & Execution):

(completed as a Group); All 25 Participants must complete by working together as team their Case study based on a multi-million dollar/multi-billion dollar project and present their findings/answers together as a group for a group grade of 80% or more as the passing grade

Your EVMP® credential certification results will be electronically submitted to you within seven days to fourteen days upon receipt of your group’s PART B case study presentation.

STEP 5:

Step 5: Maintain 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) After Certification:

Sixty (60) PDUs are required to maintain your EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® credential certification over a period of three years. The required 60 PDUs starts from the date of your Earned Value Management Professional® award to the expiration date on your credential. As an EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional®, if you do not meet the 60 PDUs requirements to maintain your EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® over the three year period, upon EVMP® expiration without all the 60 PDUs, you will be expected to re-apply and start the EVMP® application and registration process over again. EVMI® does not allow any exceptions.
