Question #1: Is the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® credential certification considered in industry and internationally?

· A: Yes, it is widely considered in industry and internationally. EVMP® is the gold and industry standard for Earned Value Management Professional credential certification. Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® has had Earned Value Management Professional®, EVMP® program participants come from a cross section and diversity of commercial companies, international firms, and US federal government agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), US Department of Defense (DoD) contractors and US Department of Navy Contractors to name a few.

EVMP® is approved by the US Federal government’s Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) www.fai.gov for the US Federal Government Project management certification program called FAC-P/PM. The EVMP® credential certification received the highest score/rating of 5 from FAI

Question # 2: Is the EVMP® credential certification program offered online? What is the cost for EVMP® certification?

· A: Yes. Over 95% of the EVMP certification program is delivered online to participants globally. All EVMP® credential certification programs are instructor led with a live Instructor and interactive.

· B: The cost per one EVMP certification participant is: $4,999 (USD)

Question # 3: Do I receive any materials for the FIVE day EVMP® credential certification program training?

· A: Yes, all study materials and everything you need to study for and to pass the EVMP® exam will be sent electronically 7 days before the start of the class to all participants who are attending in-person at our Public training sites or onsite/clients.

Soft copy read ahead materials and program materials will be emailed to all online participants prior to the start of class.

Question # 4: What do I need to do prior to the first day of my Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® credential certification class?

· A: Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® strongly recommends that you do three things prior to the first day of class: (1) Read the general areas of Planning, Scheduling, Risk Management, Quality Management and Cost Control/Earned Value Management from any standard project management textbook, (2) review your basic earned value management formulae and earned value management basics (3) familiarize yourself with the industry standard EIA- 748c guidelines which compose of thirty-two (32) criteria

Question # 5: Are there special room rates at the class location (hotel) for the five day EVMP® credential certification program training

· A: For some classes, Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI®, will reserve a small block of discounted hotel rooms onsite at the class location. These rooms are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be booked by the student directly. Earned Value Management Institute®, does not coordinate, does not participate in any hotel related transactions, collect money for or make hotel arrangements on behalf of students. Question # 6A: What is your Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® course guarantee

· A: PLEASE NOTE (IN-PERSON PARTICIPANTS): For the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® course, Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI®, offers a 100% money-back guarantee if you express your dissatisfaction with the EVMP® course prior to 11.00am on the first day , if you take the class in person at a public site. Note that you will not be allowed to leave with or take any of the EVMP® course materials or ANY notes that you took during this time period. A full refund will be sent to your address given on your application within 30 days from the date that you expressed dissatisfaction.

PLEASE NOTE (ONLINE PARTICIPANTS): If you are an online Participant you will need to inform us that you can’t take the class and are withdrawing prior to EVMI sending you any case study read ahead materials and program materials. Once we send you the soft copies of your case studies and Program Materials we will be unable to offer you any refund of any kind

Question # 6B: What is the EVMP® exam policy, retake policy and where can I register for EVMP® re-examination

EVMP® exam policy:
All EVMP® participants must take the 4 hour written exam in person on Day 5 and the days are counted from the first day of the start of the EVMP® certification program. The time frame for submitting all your answers for the EVMP® certification program PART B exercises by EVMP® participants after three weeks from the first day of class and the days are counted from the first day of the start of the EVMP® certification program.

EVMP® exam re-take policy
· If you do not pass the EVMP® examination on the first attempt, you are given up to 90 days to retake the EVMP® examination (PART A) and PART B Exercises. The 90 days is calculated from the date on your EVMP® examination results notification sheet and not from the date that you took the actual EVMP® examination

The cost for retaking the EVMP® examination PART A and PART B Exercises is $1,999.00. You will have to send a written request for the EVMP® examination PART A and PART B Exercises re-examination forms by sending an email request to: certification@evmi.com

If you are not successful after the second attempt, you must re-apply again to take the full EVMP® training course. (Our EVMP® program is very dynamic and the EVMP® program materials change every 90 days based on new information, trends and information).

Question # 6C: What is the EVMP® Pass Rate?

The EVMP® Exam Pass Rate: The EVMP® Exam pass rate is 97% for participants who take it for the first time

Our world class EVMP® instructors work with all EVMP® participants during the 5 day EVMP® credential certification program to ensure that all participants are completing their Group B exercises successfully through our continuous hands-on and interactive feedback sessions between our EVMP® Instructors and participants. This guarantees that there are no surprises regarding the expectations and quality of the exercises required for PART B.

Question # 6E: If I passed the EVMP® examination (PART A) and failed the EVMP® PART B Exercises on Applied EVM; Do I have to retake both the EVMP® examination (PART A) and PART B again, or do I retake only the PART B which I failed?

Yes, you will need to retake both PARTS A and B even if you failed one PART and the same applies to if you passed PART B and failed PART A you will still have to retake both PARTS A and B

Question # 6F: I did not complete all the requirements for PART B by the deadline given by EVMI®?

EVMI® will consider your EVMP certification “ABANDONED” if you do not submit EVMP Certification Parts A, B and C by their due dates. A score of 80% is required for both PARTS A and B. If your grade does not meet the required pass mark of 80% for Parts A and B, please refer to Questions 6B for next steps.

EVMP® CREDENTIAL CERTIFICATION ATTAINMENT REQUIREMENTS CONSISTS OF COMPLETING TWO PARTS (PARTS A & B) SUCCESSFULLY DURING THE FIVE DAY EVMP® PROGRAM:

PART A: To become Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® certified, an 80% passing grade in your 4 hour EVMP® Exam must be achieved by the EVMP® exam candidate as determined by the EVMP® Certification Board; and the Participant must adhere to the Earned Value Management Institute®’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

PART B: Additionally, you must complete a Project Using Applied Earned Value Management (EVM) for your My EVMP Portfolio™ for your EVMP-Industry™ specialization and turn in all exercises and case studies by their DUE DATES. You must achieve a total score of 80% on all your exercises.

To earn the EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® credential certification you must score an 80% passing grade in all the sections of the EVMP® credential certification given for PART A; and attain a score of 80% on all the exercises given in the Project Using Applied Earned Value Management for PART B.

Question # 6I: Can I discuss my EVMP® exam results via email or over the phone?

No, for Privacy and Confidentiality of your records and information, EVMI® does not discuss any aspects of your EVMP® exam results in any shape or form with you on the phone or via email. Any correspondence related to your EVMP® credential certification is done via certified mail to your address on file. Pay attention to meeting any deadlines given by EVMI® in our correspondence with you.

Question #6J: I am taking the EVMP® certification under WIA funding. Please what steps do I ensure to get registered and enrolled in the program.

After your submitted EVMP application has been approved, contact your WIA sponsor to provide full payment for your upcoming class. You will not be enrolled without receipt of full payment.

As of 1st January 2013, EVMi® must receive full payment from your WIA sponsor before you can enroll in the EVMP® credential certification program. Upon receipt of your full payment, EVMi® will send you an admissions ticket with instructions and softcopies of read-ahead materials.

For all our EVMi® 5 day credential certification programs: EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional®, CEVO® Chief Earned Value Officer®, CCAM® Certified Control Account Manager®, RQMP® Risk & Quality Management Professional®, SPMP™ Schedule & Planning Management Professional™ and CAEVM™ Certified Associate in Earned Value Management™ credential certification programs, EVMi® requires full payment ten days to the start of class and this applies to all participants who are paying on their own, paying through their organizations, paying through scholarships from private, non-profit or public sources, or seeking sponsorship from funding sources such as Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding. If you are an applicant into any of these programs listed, you will need to have your sponsoring organization provide full payment ten days to the start of class. NOTE: We no longer allow participation into our 5 day credential certification training programs without receipt of full payment!

Question # 7: Can I use any of Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® Products and Course Materials in My Own Training Class?

· A: No, the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® is a registered trademark and EVMP® course contents are built from proprietary and intellectual capital that cannot be transferred, used or applied in any format, medium, training or whatsoever forms or formats.

· There can be no filming, taping, recording or photocopying in any form whatsoever of any of the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® content. Any attempt to do is expressly prohibited and a violation of Earned Value Management Institute® copyrights.

Question # 8: Is the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® class geared only toward those preparing for the EVMP® exam?
· A: Yes. Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI®’s Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® course is designed specifically for participants looking to pass the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® exam. Question #9: Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® is not coming to my area any time soon. Can you add a class near my location?

· A: The Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® is always looking to visit a new city, a new region of the United States, and internationally.

If you consider scheduling a class in your area, please send an email to info@evmi.com with the details of your request, and remember — if you can convince some friends and co-workers to attend, the chances that we will schedule a class in your area greatly increases. The minimum class size that we can participate in must be at least 25 students.

Question #11: Does the EVMP® holder require PDUs after certification?

A: Yes. 60 (sixty) Professional Development Units (PDUs) are required over a three year period AFTER you attain your EVMP® credential certification. Note also that PDUs are a mandatory part of retaining your EVMP® certification once you pass the exam. Non-EVMP®s cannot earn PDUs.

Question #17: Will my employer cover costs for me to attend courses?

· A: Over 95% of our EVMP® participants have their tuition paid for by their employer.

The remainder invest their own money as a recognition of higher salary, fees, promotion, and greater opportunities that will be available to them upon EVMP® credential certification. If you are paying for the class yourself, keep these facts in consideration:

The course fee invested in getting your EVMP® certification is nothing compared to the increases that go in salary with the EVMP® designation (in some companies, increases are as high as between 15% to 20%).

Question #18: How long do I spend in class each day?

A: The entire course instruction lasts 4 and half days, covering 36 hours of classroom time. Homework assignments are given each day and they typically take a couple of hours to complete

· It is recommended that you should arrive at least 30 minutes before class on the first day.

· The first half of the fifth day is allotted to EVMP® examination testing

· A: Eat a good breakfast, and arrive ready to learn. Be alert and well rested for class, and above all, avoid distractions. it is important to dedicate yourself completely to this task and leave cell phones, pagers, etc outside the class. Block the time completely off your work schedule so that people know you are unavailable during class. This will allow you to focus all of your mental attention on the important task of preparing for the EVMP® Exam. You bring the dedication and focus, and we’ll take it from there.

Question #23: Can I record the course sessions or take pictures? (See also Question #7)

· A: No recording (video or otherwise) is allowed from any device.

No pictures are allowed to be taken of persons taking the course, instructors or materials utilized in the class.

If you are found to be recording any parts of any of our training programs, EVMI® will request that you leave immediately and we will take any recordings that you have made from you.

Question #24: Where do I take the EVMP® Exam?

· A: The EVMP® Exam is taken on the fifth day at the location given for the earlier four days of instruction. It is a continuous five day program and examination that leads to EVMP® exam taking on Day 5. For four and a half days of instruction we will reinforce you with the necessary tools, techniques and exam strategies required to pass the EVMP® on your first attempt on the fifth day

Question #25: What should I bring to class?

· A: You must purchase and bring to class 1 laptop, 1 basic calculator, 3 highlighters (different colors), 3 pencils, 1 writing pad and 1 writing pen.

Question #26: What should I wear to class and exam?

· A: On the EVMP® examination day, please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are conducive to learning for long hours

Question #27: Are cell phones/blackberries/PDAs/Smart phones/Laptops allowed?

· A: Cell phone/blackberries/PDAs etc rings or calls are NOT allowed during class time. All cell phones/blackberries/PDAs etc must be turned OFF or placed on vibration mode.

**You can only turn on your portable laptops during breaks and sessions that require laptop use. Laptops must be closed down (flat) during class instruction. No exceptions.

Question #34: If I fail the EVMP® examination how soon can I retake it?

You can retake the EVMP® examination ONLY after 30 days starting from the date on your Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® Results Notification Letter

For example, if the date on your Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® Results Notification Letter is April 1st, 2010; the earliest you can retake the exam is May 1st, 2010 (Note that the exam retake date is not calculated from the date that you took the actual exam but it is calculated from the date on the Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® Notification Letter.

NOTE: You have ninety 90 days from the the date on your Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® Results Notification Letter to retake the exam (See Question 6B for cost of retakes), so in this example July 1st is the last date you can take the exam if the date on your Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® Results Notification Letter is April 1st, 2010 you.

After you notify us of your intent to retake the EVMP® exam, EVMI® will reschedule you for the next available exam.

Question #35: What is on my EVMP® examination score sheet?

The EVMP® examination score sheet gives you a breakdown of your score on the EVMP® exam, and it also includes an assessment of your PART B exercises and case studies which are course completion requirements.

The score sheet contains an assessment of your performance on your PART A exam, case studies and PART B exercises.

Question #36: What is the EVMP® examination pass/fail based on?

Your EVMP® credential certification is based on the score from your EVMP® credential examination which is a 4 hour exam. You need to obtain a 80% score to pass in both PARTs A and B

Completion of all case studies and PART B exercises are prerequisites for completing the EVMP® course, so you must complete all exercises and case studies by the DUE DATES.

Question #37: Can your exam results be discussed?

No, your examination results are final and are provided on your EVMP® examination score sheet

Question #38: Can you use another EVMI class to count towards completion of the EVMP Part B certification requirements?

Yes, in rare instances. If you have successfully completed our EVMD/EVMO certification which is a higher level EVM class than the EVMP certification, we will apply credits earned from the EVMD/EVMO class towards your EVMP Part B certification.

Question #40: Does EVMI® give back the actual contents of the examination, exercises or case studies of any of its credential certification programs submitted or turned in by their due dates that count to the overall grading back to the participant after grading, during grading and before grading?

EVMI® policy does not allow EVMI® to submit any parts or all the parts of the actual contents in any format (whether electronic or hard copy) of the actual examination, exercises or case studies of any of its credential certification programs that count towards the credential certification’s overall grading back to the participant after grading, during grading and before grading.

After grading, EVMI® will only send out an overall score sheet summary and credential certification results for all the parts of the examination, case studies and exercises of the credential certification taken by participants.

Question #41: Who teaches EVMI®’s global credential programs?

PLEASE NOTE: All Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® credential certification programs: EVMA™, EVMP® and CEVO® are taught by EVMI® faculty. This is to protect the integrity of the intellectual property contents of EVMI®’s credentials. All EVMI® instructors are highly qualified in their respective fields and areas of expertise. To qualify to sit for any of the exams for EVMI® credential certification programs and other EVMI® certifications, the prospective applicant must undergo the full length of training that is given by EVMI®.

EVMI® does not allow/permit the transfer of any external training credits gained from external programs into EVMI® credential certification programs and EVMI® credential certification examinations. This is to protect the integrity and contents of EVMI®’s unique proprietary information, methods, concepts and approaches that are used across and in EVMI® training and credential certification programs. Question #43: What is EVMI®’s Policy on Rejected Applications?

PLEASE NOTE: Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® reserves the right to reject any application at any time, if in the opinion of EVMI® the prospective applicant, during the application process withheld information such as whether or not they are providers of competing products or services or presented misleading information about their identity, education, experience or are attempting to gain EVMI® credential certifications for reasons that are not what these EVMI® credential certifications are designed for, or for any other reasons that EVMI® deems unacceptable. EVMI® further reserves the right to not enter into any correspondence regarding the rejection of such application. If an application is rejected, the full registration fee and cost of course will be returned to the applicant within thirty days. Any completed application forms that were submitted for a rejected application is retained by EVMI®.

Question #44: What is EVMI®’s Policy on Rejected Payments Using Checks?

PLEASE NOTE: Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® reserves the right to terminate your application immediately if the prospective applicant, during application processing submitted payments through checks that are deemed: “bad”, “fraudulent”, marked with “insufficient funds”, have been written in language that is not “clear and discernible” and so on.

The check in which payment was to be drawn from will be destroyed immediately, and you will be notified via email. If such check is deposited and returned, the prospective applicant will pay for any fees incurred such as fees on returned checks to EVMI®.

PLEASE NOTE: EVMI® will not incur any further costs such as returning/mailing to you any bad checks or returned checks as such checks are voided and destroyed by the Bank to which the payment is to be drawn at.

Question #43: What is EVMI®’s Policy on Credit Payment Refunds?

It takes from thirty to forty-five days for Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI® to process and complete a Refund to you if you paid with a credit card via our online online credit card processing gateway.

Question #44: I was approved under the WIA (Workforce Investment Act) by my state for EVMI® EVMP® related training/credential certification. When do I receive my exam results?

If you participated in our EVMI® EVMP® credential certification training under WIA sponsorship, EVMI® must receive full payment from the organization in your state sponsoring you for the costs of your participation in our program before releasing your score/exam results to you. It typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks after your training for EVMI® to receive full payment. Upon receipt of payment, we will mail your results to you via certified mail immediately and notify your WIA counselor.

NOTE: We will not provide your WIA counselor with your actual score breakdown but rather send only a Successful/Unsuccessful status. Only the EVMP® participant will receive a total grade breakdown and summary score sheet for both PARTS A and B of their EVMP® credential certification scores.

**In the event you are unsuccessful, you will need to pay $1,999.00 for your exam retake for both PART A and PART B which must happen within 90 days from the date of your results letter.

We are not allowed to discuss any aspects of your EVMP® credential certification exam and PART B submission electronically or over the phone so we cannot address any specific inquiries that you may have about your results until you hear from us via mail.

Question #45 What happens if your EVMP Earned Value Management Professional credential certification expires and you are unable to renew it on or before the expiration date given on your EVMP credential certification?

If your EVMP credential certification expires and you are unable to renew by the given deadline and including within the 30 day grace period given, there are 2 things that you can do:

c) CRQO Chief Risk & Quality Officer https://www.evmi.com/crqo

Upon, completion of any of these 4 programs listed at Question 45, we will renew your EVMP certification with additional 3 years and apply the PDUS earned towards maintenance of your EVMP certification for the next 3 years.

ADDITIONAL: On the day that your EVMP certification given expiration date occurs, you are granted and given a one-time grace period of 30 days from your EVMP expiration date to renew your EVMP certification. If you don’t renew your EVMP certification within that 30 days grace period, then your EVMP certification permanently expires. For example, if your EVMP certification expired on July 31st, 2014 then you have until August 31st, 2014 to renew it within the given 30 day grace period. Failure to renew your EVMP certification within the given 30 day grace period then you will automatically have your EVMP certification go into a permanent expiry state that will require Steps 1 and 2 in Question 46 to bring it to current status.
