***The Part B Exercises for EVMP – Industry™  can be waivered by completing additional requirements and certifications such as the ChPCO and EVMD/EVMO certifications.

During the EVMP® application process, each EVMP® participant will select only one industry in which they are currently working and reflect that industry at step 4 on their EVMP® Application form. This selection is made from 50 industries and their PART B Exercises will be given on a project from that selected industry. Your EVMP – Industry™ specialization/track will be reflected on your EVMP® credential certification upon successful completion. Each prospective EVMP® applicant must select only one industry from a list of 50 industries enclosed in the EVMP Application form (Step 4).

The five day EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® certification program is currently given in English only.

A minimum of 40 registered participants is required for onsite training in the USA and Canada and the price is $3,499 (US) per participant.

A minimum of 100 registered participants is required for onsite training in Africa, Middle-east, China, Japan, India, Brazil, Australia and Europe and the price is $4,499 (US) per participant in these regions and countries.

The 5-Step EVMP® Credential Certification Process:

The prospective EVMP® applicant shall typically have a Bachelor’s Degree and FOUR or more years of work related experience preferably in program & project management; management, financial analysis, accounting, business management, business, analysis, information technology, engineering (all disciplines), contracts, procurement, acquisitions, or Earned Value Management (EVM) or 4 years of work experience without a college degree.

**Skills such as use of excel spreadsheets and project management software such as Microsoft Project Professional are strongly encouraged

STEP 1:

STEP 4:

On Day 5 of the EVMP® certification program, a 4 hour exam is given. Participants must pass the 4 hour EVMP® credential certification examination for PART A; pass and complete a Project from Start to Finish Using Applied Earned Value Management (EVM); Project Management, Project Control, and EVM Best Practices for PART B; and for PART C; complete and present 2 case studies in class, and also provide short answers to 5 to 7 topics that are relevant to EVM and Project Control today.

Completion of PARTs A, B and C are requirements to becoming EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® certified.

Completion of Parts A, B and C are requirements to becoming EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® Credentialed & Certified.

PART A:

To become Earned Value Management Professional® EVMP® certified, an 80% passing grade in all sections of the 4 hour EVMP® Exam must be achieved by the Exam candidate as determined by the EVMP® Certification Board; and all Participants must adhere to the EVMI®’s Honor Code at: www.evmi.com/the-evmi-honor-code

PART B:

consists of completing 10 EVM and Project Controls/Management related exercises/deliverables and Participant are given up to 3 weeks after class to complete and submit their answers using Applied Earned Value Management (EVM) and turn in all completed exercises by their DUE DATE. You must achieve a total score of 80% for all your PART B exercises. Completion of Part B exercises culminates in the “My EVMP Portfolio™” creation. PART C:

CASE STUDY: TEAMS IMPLEMENTING EVM

(Part C Requires 25 participants in each group): Complete and present your 2 case studies and provide 5 to 7 short answers on selected topics.

PLEASE NOTE: Part C case studies are done in teams or groups consisting of 25 participants in each group or team, and the ten participants will participate in the following functions on their given case study projects which are based on “real projects”. Participant functions include: Role playing, accountability, oversight, transparency; leadership, quality management, risk management, control account management, change management, problem solving and EIA 748-C EVM industry standard compliance.

To become EVMP® certified you must score an 80% passing grade in EVMP® credential certification examination given for PART A; and score 80% and above on all the exercises given for the Project Using Applied Earned Value Management for PART B; and for PART C complete and present your 2 case studies and provide 5 to 7 short answers on selected topics *Both Parts A and B must be passed with an 80% or more to attain EVMI®’s EVMP® credential certification

*Computers or laptops with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power point and Microsoft Word are required to complete exercises in PART B. The use of Microsoft Project is preferred to complete some of the exercises but is not mandatory.

**Please note that both Parts A and B must be passed with an 80% or more to attain EVMI®’s EVMP® credential certification

Your EVMP® credential certification results will be mailed to you in seven days to fourteen days upon receipt of your PART B exercises.

STEP 5:

Step 5: Maintain 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) After Certification:

Sixty (60) PDUs are required to maintain your EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® credential certification over a period of three years. The required 60 PDUs starts from the date of your Earned Value Management Professional® award to the expiration date on your credential. As an EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional®, if you do not meet the 60 PDUs requirements to maintain your EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® over the three year period, upon EVMP® expiration without all the 60 PDUs, you will be expected to re-apply and start the EVMP® application and registration process over again. EVMI® does not allow any exceptions.

The five day EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional® certification program is currently given in English only.

A minimum of 50 registered participants is required for onsite training in the USA and Canada and the price is $3,999 (US) per participant.

A minimum of 200 registered participants is required for onsite training in Africa, Middle-east, China, Japan, India, Brazil, Australia and Europe and the price is $4,499 (US) per participant in these regions and countries.
