48 PDUs is required to maintain your CAEVM over a 3 year period; 60 PDUs is required to maintain your EVMP® credential  over a 3 year period; and 48 PDUs is required to maintain your CEVO® credential over a 3 year period.  See requirements below:

*Approved CAEVM PDUs are:

(1) Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) FAC-P/PM

The Earned Value Management Institute® EVMI® accepts up to 48 PDUs from FAI FAC-P/PM related courses towards the CAEVM™ credential certification PDUs over a three year period. Courses must be FAC-P/PM approved and must be taken ONLY after successfully completing your CAEVM™ credential certification. *Courses taken prior to your CAEVM™ credential certification are not eligible.

(2) Defense Acquisition University (DAU)

The Earned Value Management Institute® EVMI® accepts up to 48 PDUs  from courses taken with the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). DAU courses eligible for CAEVM™ PDUs must be taken ONLY after successfully completing your CAEVM™ credential certification. Courses taken prior to your CAEVM™ credential certification are not eligible.

EVMI® has established that 1 (one) Continuous Learning Point (CLP) is equivalent to 1  (one) Professional Development Unit (PDU).

**EVMI® accepts DAU courses taken from Levels 1 of the following 'CAREER GATEWAYS' categories: 1) Contracting, 2) Program Management, 3) Information Technology, 4) Program Systems, 5) Systems Engineering, 6) Purchasing

For example, if you take the SYS 101 Fundamentals of Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering which is 35 CLPs; this is  equivalent to 35 PDUs towards maintaining your CAEVM™ credential certification during the three year period.

(3) EVMI® 202: BCPM™ Bachelor's Certificate in Project Management™ (32 PDUs) -

EVMI®'s Bachelor's Certificate in Project Management™ BCPM™ program gives the participant the project management competencies, skills and know-how required to effectively manage projects on time, within scope and budget.

(6) White Papers for the EVMI® Quarterly (Up to 10 PDUs per submission in a year) -

Beginning January 2010, EVMI® will be issuing the EVMI® Quarterly

White paper submissions will be accepted from our EVMP®s for publication.

Submitted white papers must be related and relevant to earned value management application.

If you are writing about  something in your actual organization, seek approval from your organization. EVMI® is not responsible in any way, shape or form if you submit something about your organization for publishing that has not been approved by your organization. All white papers must be fully original and any references used in the writing must be fully credited. Edit and spell check any white papers before you submit to us. White papers must be received 45 days prior to  publication.

All white paper topics must be approved in advance by EVMI® prior to actual writing. Send writing request to: info@evmi.com and place in subject: EVMI® Quarterly Whitepaper Request

The maximum PDUs per white paper submission is 10 PDUs.

One white paper per year is allowed for submission by an EVMP®.

(9) Transfer Up to 20 PDUs from exam prep classes or courses taken towards other industry certifications that EVMI® recognizes -

EVMI® recognizes United States Project Management Institute® PMI®'s Project Management Professional® PMP® Credential

If you have attained your PMP® certification prior to your EVMP® credential you are ineligible to transfer those PMP® related prep courses. To be eligible for EVMP® credential PDU transfer, your PMP® certification must have been awarded after your EVMP® credential. There are no exceptions to this policy.
