SECTION 1: ABOUT
EVMP®- IT™
The EVMP® - IT™
credential certification holder will successfully manage, implement and
leverage Earned Value Management (EVM) on Information Technology projects in
conjunction with other management and project management best practices and
industry standards that when applied correctly
will allow Information Technology (IT) projects to be delivered on time,
within value, within quality and within budget. EVMP® - IT™ participants
will be given two Information Technology projects in class where applied
Earned Value Management, Risk & Quality Management, Project Management Best
Practices and ANSI-EIA 748-B EVM industry standards will be leveraged to
monitor and track performance; resolve variances (cost, schedule, technical
and quality) and forecast completion dates of the projects. Both
projects are start to finish. This is a hands on class. Projects range from
cyber security to software development
The EVMP®- IT™ credential holder
will lead; guide; direct, and provide oversight, transparency,
problem-solving and accountability on IT projects that have EVM requirements
especially in the US Federal government sector and across corporations.
EVMP®- IT™ credential holder will
provide the oversight, skills, competencies and technical expertise that can
help save the US Federal Government, corporations, global businesses and
Information Technology firms billions of dollars spent annually in cost over
runs, schedule delays, poor quality deliverables, waste, neglect,
negligence, fraud and abuse on Information Technology projects.

SECTION
2: WHO MUST ATTEND OR PARTICIPATE:
Information Technology Professionals
who have a REQUIREMENT to apply and implement Earned Value Management (EVM)
on their IT projects and are
COMMITTED to mitigating all risks and preventing cost overruns, schedule delays and poor
quality deliverables on their IT projects
SECTION
3: EVMP®- IT™ PREREQUISITES:
A) The
EVMP®- IT™
applicant must have successfully
completed all the requirements for EVMI® 201: EVMP® Earned Value Management
Professional® credential certification at the time of application.
B) The
EVMP® - IT™
applicant must be EVMP® certified from the
Earned Value Management Institute®, EVMI®. Your EVMP® credential
certification must be in current good standing.
C) The
EVMP® - IT™
applicant must have University level education
in Information Technology or Computer Science and possess college degree
such as Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Computer
Science or Information Technology. A minimum of two years or 60 CREDIT HOURS
of verifiable Information Technology or Computer Science education or
RELATED course work at the University level is required of all
applicants. Some engineering disciplines such as electrical engineering, and
software engineering can be accepted. Training and education must be
from accredited Universities.
****If the
EVMP® - IT™
applicant does not have 60 CREDIT HOURS of
verifiable Information Technology or Computer Science education or RELATED
course work at the University level then they must have successfully
completed 60 HOURS towards industry recognized technical certification
programs (certifications must be current) from vendors such as
Oracle, Cisco, Microsoft, IBM and SAP
The
EVMP® - IT™
application process requires submission of
copies of all
related University transcripts and IT certifications
4) The
EVMP®- IT™
applicant must have a minimum of three years
of Information Technology work related experience. Information technology
work related experience is a
MANDATORY requirement. Information Technology
Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Application Developers, Database
Managers, Web masters are examples of IT Functional expertise that will
greatly benefit from this credential certification.
ABOUT
EVMP® - IT™ FACULTY:
ALL EVMI®'s INSTRUCTORS:
(1) Have attained and are holders of Master Of Science
(MS) Degree in Project Management; Master Of Science (MS) Degree in
Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Computer, Mechanical, Aeronautical,
Software); (MS) Degree in Computer Science; (MS) Degree in Information
Systems Technology;
(2) Are EVMP® Earned Value Management Professional®
certified;
(3) Have Over Fifteen Years of Earned Value Management
(EVM), Project Controls and Project Management Experience in Industry Or
Government Or Both;
(4) Have Implemented Several Compliant ANSI 748 Earned
Value Management Systems (EVMS) On Very Large, Complex and High Dollar
(multimillion/multibillion valued) Information Technology and
Engineering Programs and Projects;
(5) Have Taught In Graduate Engineering and Computer
Science Programs In Accredited Universities and or at Community Colleges
in the USA and abroad
6) Have over 15 years of HANDS-ON INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE WORKING IN CAPACITIES such as Senior Manager,
Senior Information Technology Project Manager, Advisory Information
Technology Specialist on Information Technology projects at firms such
as IBM, Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, Boston
Consulting Group, BearingPoint, Microsoft, Oracle, Sun Microsystems,
BearingPoint, SAP and NTT Verio.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
The
EVMP®- IT™
is an extension of the EVMP® credential. The EVMP®- IT™ requires
the completion of
40 hours of classroom training. Additional
outside classroom work is required to complete the program successfully

training focuses on areas and best practices
that lead to the successful execution, implementation and delivery of Information Technology projects
within value; within budget; on schedule and within quality.
Many of the EVMP®- IT™ modules
will focus on a variety of different types of IT projects leveraging
different types of technologies.
